AIM welcomes the generosity of individuals and organizations that find its work to be a good match for their philanthropic values.

While all of AIM’s volunteers, including the registered nurse and its current spiritual director, provide their services free of charge, the costs of weekend retreats are high for those the ministry serves. In large part because of their disabilities, these individuals have limited income that makes it difficult for most of them to cover their share of the retreat costs.

Overall, the largest financial expense is the cost of the only retreat facility in the area that meets the unique access requirements of our retreatants, the Duncan Center in Delray Beach, Florida. The center charges equally for each retreatant and volunteer.

Also, when AIM's spiritual director is unavailable, the ministry does provide stipends to other priests who come to fulfill different roles—to speak, hear confessions, celebrate Mass, etc.

It is the ministry’s hope and desire to make the retreats free of charge for the retreatants and to be able to recruit volunteers without having to impose the burden of a charge on their service.
