We offer in-person and online Catholic spiritual retreats for adults with physical disabilities and those facing mobility issues due to aging.
AIM is an outreach ministry of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Boca Raton, Florida.
AIM is all about spiritual retreats for adults with physical disabilities and those facing mobility issues due to aging. We have retreats online via Zoom and others in-person in Delray Beach, Florida. We held our 2023 weekend retreat June 9-11 at the Duncan Center in Delray Beach.
Our next weekend retreat will be held Aug. 2-4, 2024 at the Duncan Center. Additional information and application details will be provided at a future date. If you've got questions about our weekend retreats, the below links may help:
You may wonder: How can AIM offer this retreat at no charge to participants?
The entire cost of the 2023 retreat was graciously covered through generous donations
from the St. Joan of Arc Knights of Columbus and from the Notre Dame Club of Boca Raton.
The AIM ministry has been truly blessed by these gifts and is thankful for the generosity of these organizations.
We would also like to share the joy of our retreats with individuals who have not experienced such an event before. If you know of someone who would benefit from this experience, please let them know or contact Margarita at 954-821-6077 so that she can reach out to them.

AIM retreats inspire and motivate participants to lead more joyful and meaningful lives,
helping them achieve spiritual growth and a closer relationship with a loving God.
We are Christ-centered volunteers providing accessible spiritual retreats to individuals who find it difficult to participate in standard religious retreats because of their physical challenges. We meet Diocese of Palm Beach screening requirements for working with vulnerable adults.
AIM provides annual overnight weekend retreats in South Florida. Though the pandemic interrupted our in-person retreats, they returned in June 2023. Our next weekend retreat is Aug. 2-4, 2024 at the Duncan Center in Delray Beach. Participants are adults (ages 18 and above) with physical disabilities, those with mobility issues due to aging, and volunteers who assist them during the retreat and their two-night stay. Additional information to come.
Every few months, AIM holds a 1 1/2-hour online mini retreat open to all. Each mini retreat includes community building, prayers, songs, and talks given by a Catholic priest based on Biblical passages. The date for our next mini retreat is in April, typically on a Saturday from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. More information to come.
From time to time, AIM offers a one-day, in-person retreat at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Boca Raton. The one-day retreats start in the morning and go until mid-afternoon. Our last Day of Spiritual Renewal was Saturday, Feb. 10, 2024. The theme for the retreat was "Blessed are the Poor in Spirit." Father Kevin McQuone from St. Vincent de Paul Regional Seminary delivered two spiritual talks.
While AIM retreats are based on Catholic beliefs and practices, they are open to people of all faiths who have a physical disability or who have mobility issues due to aging. Unfortunately, we are not equipped to serve adults with severe medical conditions, intellectual disabilities or mental illness.
